Fake e-mails purporting to come from your bank, other companies or official institutions are constantly circulating. Recipients are asked to update their personal data in e-banking or otherwise on a linked homepage. However, it is not your bank or the stated sender who is behind the e-mails, but cyber criminals.
Countermeasures:
Always ignore such e-mails.
Never follow links from e-mails or short messages that refer to your bank's e-banking. Always enter the address for your financial institution's e-banking manually in the address bar of your browser.
Only access the corresponding login function via the official websites and not via a search engine such as Google, Bing, etc.
Ensure a secure connection (lock symbol, correct name of the financial institution and correct domain name).
Never disclose your personal data if you have not carried out thorough checks beforehand
